Karel De Boeck nominated as Vice Chairman to the Managing Board of ABN AMRO

Fortis has appointed Alain Deschênes and Camille Fohl members of the Executive Committee (ExCo), Fortis's highest managing body, with effect from 1 January 2008.

Alain Deschênes, who has been Fortis's Chief Information Officer since February 2005, will become Chief Operating Officer (COO). Camille Fohl, CEO of Fortis Commercial Banking since 2005, will become CEO of Retail Banking. Karel de Boeck, current Chief Risk Officer, has been nominated as Vice Chairman to the Managing Board of ABN AMRO.
