Rajiv Surendra (born or )[1][a] is a Canadian American actor, artist, content creator, and writer.[3] He is known for his portrayal of high school student Kevin Gnapoor in the teen comedy film Mean Girls and for his memoir, The Elephants in My Backyard, which chronicles his bid to win the lead role in the film Life of Pi.[4]
Early life
Surendra's parents immigrated to Canada from Sri Lanka.
He grew up in Toronto, in a neighbourhood close to Toronto Zoo.[5] He attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts as a musical theatre student and performer, graduating in [6][7]
